The value of the HMA Endowment as of 6/30/10 stood at $967, 280.05 and we are nearing the goal of $1,000,000.

The total amount of donations for the 2009 calendar year was $9,650.00. The latest figures received from the Pacific Union Conference Income Fund show the value of the fund at $967,280.05 for the quarter ending June 30, 2010. This increase represents a growth rate of 4.43% for the six-month period of 1 January 2010 to 30 June 2010.
 
Current members of the Alumni Endowment Fund Trustees are: Chair, Angelica Kahle; members, Mario Chong and Ann Yamane.

Once the Endowment Fund investments reach a value of more than $1,000,000, Fund Trustees will determine how much, if any, of the net income and Fund appreciation can be distributed in the four areas listed below:

1.  Student scholarships
2.  Curriculum enhancement
3.  Professional development of faculty
4.  Improvements to Academy facilities

Fund Trustees are prohibited from making any distribution if such distribution would reduce the value of investments of the Endowment Fund below $1,000,000 adjusted to take into account the effect of inflation on this Fund.
